Hypercool.*It's insane.*I love it!
you seem to have a thing for yellows :)
The red circle is already trademarked by Japan, so beware of copyright infringement :-)
I knew this was you the moment I saw it! Finally some new projects out of your closet! :) This thing is cray-zeeee! Bravo!
PS guys you're right! Imagine this as some country's flag! That would be unbelievable!
haha.. love it!
takes guts to submit something like that to a client - but it's definately memorable!
COBALT! SO WHAT IS IT??
OK Cobalt, I'm just trying to prove a point here,... I can see (good job Maumer), this is going to be another one of those controversial designs.i ALSO AM LEFT (-BLANK)?
Not sure what's wrong with design being controversial, those are the ones that stick out, no?*I like this very much, even though it's experimental - I can image this working very well for - thinking out loud - a lounge called %22the black bar%22... but that's just my opinion.*Reminds me of (the very talented) Emmi Sanonen's indentity for The Goldman Warehouse, check it out at www.emmi.co.uk/portfolio.html*Also Tomato's reactive identity for TV Asahi comes to mind - they did add the name but took the bar one step further by putting it in a different position for every application. *http://www.adcglobal.org/awards/viewer/?id%3DYG410_A%26yr%3D2004%26sh%3Dyg*http://www.adcglobal.org/awards/viewer/?id%3DYG410_B%26yr%3D2004%26sh%3Dyg*sorry bout the long liks, i'm html illiterate :)
by the way, have you all seen this?*Get loaded in the Progress Bar *http://www.ironicsans.com/2008/06/idea_a_bar_in_silicon_valley.html
You can't TM a black bar.
Thank you, xprmnt ALL : Interesting debate :-D **@ Mr. J: Thanks, nice links %3E*@ gthobbs: Why ? :))) *
Interesting debate? 225 views, 20 comments and 6 votes! And all that with a simple black bar! Congrats Muamer! :)

Interesting point mister. I said you couldn't TM %22a%22 black bar. I did not say you couldn't trademark %22a specific arrangement of black bars of varying lengths used consistently in a particular layout%22 as Amatterofdesign%u2122 has done. But can you?**I would argue these covers are parodies of the actual text cover with the TM left there to drive the connection. Can the singular box replacing %22Amatterofdesign%22, ON ITS OWN, be a defensible trademark? I've often found you cannot own a common shape unless in context with something proprietary. **Here's an example: check out the Human Rights Campaign equality logo: http://www.hrc.org/**Immediately recognizable and most often used as a stand alone graphic. But it only has a mark (in this case a registration mark) when coupled with its text. Do they own a trademark on the graphic itself? Can they own a common %22equal%22 sign? Or do the colors, layout and proportions in relation to the box make it trademarkable. I dunno.
of course you can't trademark it, i just thought i'd throw in the victionary book covers after i saw them on my desk and remembered this thread. hehe*Anyway, there's already a black bar logo, made by Coast design in Sidney. It's for an art gallery (%22like a gallery, the logo presents a space to be transformed%22), and it's used without the name of the gallery (phatspace), but without the TM...*look for it %22here%22:http://www.coastdesign.com.au/*go to Clients and look for Phatspace Art Gallery**:)**
well, as you cant trademark it, I guess thats why he said experimental on the description lol**Im upvoting becouse its interesting to see something like this*ALSO, EURONEWS trademarked a WHITE CIRCLE, why cant a block be so?
Thanx Matheus... and ndmgfx :)
hello there.*what if this allready exists?*%22minus logo%22:http://www.m-nus.com/ on theyr website*%22minus logo%22:http://m-nus.com/sundayadventureclub/Minus_logo.jpg old version*%22minus logo%22:http://www.geekman1.com/images/m-nus_logo.gif new version
