KGB... I was a bit confused at first by the coloring of the mark in relation to the text. I noticed right away the gold square which in theory is on the east side of the mark but yet the name is Northwest. Then I saw the arrow pointing northwest which in most cases I would say clever, however in my hometown there is a hospital that has been nationally recognized. %22NWTX%22:http://www.nwtexashealthcare.com/index.php? which uses a stylized abstract arrow N as it's mark. I think if you revisit the thinking behind the mark you will come to a stronger concept by thinking how the everyday viewer will see the mark in the end.**PS: Ahh Gotham, one of my favorites, to bad it has become as bastardized as Myriad in recent months.
thanks bart and 2dispari. this logo is long gone. I like the fact that you don't immediately get the arrow pointing NW. To a certain extent, if the viewer gets to figure it out, they will remember it more.

ReplyAn arrow to north-west with the %22N%22... great idea, good synthesis!

ReplyNorthwest Airlines (their older, better logo): http://www.goodlogo.com/images/logos/northwest_airlines_logo_2557.gif
ReplyHmm .. isn't this more of a North-East logo ?
ReplyThe letterform is making an arrow that points up/north and left/west.
