The idea is great! I love your use of the music note. The overall style of the mark feels a little too clip-arty to me though. I mean, it works, but I think it could be drawn out in a more unique way. Not sure. Anyone else?
About the scaling i guess that can be solved by increasing the type size. I think the symbol looks very nice as it is.
