The mark is really cool, but I can't figure out what the thing between the horns/arms is.

The client wanted a "crown", so its a tribal crown of sorts and it also represents a head, depends what you see first a body or the skull. It's also letters T and F combined for tribe fitness, that will be used as a minimal version of the logo.
