Oh, a really really nice idea! I love this feel, but the spacing between type and linestrokes destroys it a little bit.
Replyworking the font into the illustration distracts from both. I thought it was a cat and I couldn't make sense of the text at first. I suggest moving the name out of the illy, probably below it, so both are easy to make out.
