Cara...this may be insignificant to many, but it looks like you have a 32' Ford grill shell with some horizontal elements added...not sure of the reason. I realize this is your artistic interpretation...the early 1930's Ford and Chevy grills had only vertical elements. I like the image overall...nice type choices.*I don't mean this as a gratuitous attack...as others have done to me here. I'm old enough to know old cars...I own a hot rod.
Thanks you guys! My life goal is complete, I can die a happy woman now! :)**@topfuel: Good eye! The '32 Ford grille was my inspiration, but I went my own direction with it since it seemed a little too boxy for this design.
One thing I was thinking about this logo is if you could actually mimmic the grille of the 32 Ford Coupe aka Deuce Coupe a little more and use vertical bars in the actual grille instead of the horizontal it would be killer. Love the concept by the way! Can you tell I am a gearhead/hot rodder! LOL!
WOW! Y'all know your hot rods a little too well! LOL! I had no idea so many people would be able to recognize the shape, so I just made it more %22generic hot rod.%22 But I guess I'll definitely have to try it with the vertical bars now!
I like it just the way it is -- it's great work. Recognizable, makes sense, great quality. Vertical bars would distract, imo. Great to see this in the gallery.
love it a lot.*my only thought is maybe the HOTROD text is a little too modern for the era? Maybe its just the small version, but are the corners rounded slightly? If so they may need to be a little more squared off..?
Thanks oski!**@ brad todd - I hate to let you down, but it's actually a design for a virtual brewery that sells apparel with their original beer names and labels! There's no real beer to taste test . . . bummer. :%5D They wanted a slight change to the final design, but they should be selling this one soon. Check 'em out at:**http://bottsbrewery.com
