Anthony man, I dig your work. I gotta say though, it drives me nuts when people post irrelevant links as if to imply the work was ripped off. There's plenty of logos in your library that have a vaguely similar layout to tons of other logos.
I think the problem is repeating patterns forming a circle. Too many of these out there.
I agree logomotive, there are too many radial designs out there... like swoosh's. I'm simply stating that this logo is different in concept, color and type from the mentioned link. If it was a blatant rip off I would hope it was brought to the attention of everybody, but I think this pointing of fingers goes on way too much on logopond when it's not valid.**I would probably disagree if that comment was made in regards to my work as well Anthony. Which is exactly what you did by posting that link. So you see where I'm coming from.
I think we may need to explain a bit more when posting a link. Just saying, %22Same concept%22 implies you think the designer made a rip when that may not be the case at all. Most of us are professionals, so if we could post relevant links in a non-accusatory manner that may help with some of the frsutration on both ends.%0D*%0D*Back to topic...Muku, you got a killer gallery, but I agree with Mike on this piece in particular. I'd really like to see another concept- because I'm sure it would be great.
I appreciate the further explanation and feedback Anthony. I've had a couple irrelevant or accusatory links posted in the past, and while as you stated it was not meant in that manner... it was one too many for me and I probably took it the wrong way. It's like when you're a kid and you draw a cartoon character and somebody says that it looks like Bart Simpson when that is the last thing you wanted to hear... just one of those things that always drove me nuts and I wasn't in the mood today, haha. No hard feelings.**Thanks Chad, I agree... this design isn't my best. Pretty run of the mill, but I liked the concept of plugs forming a sun to represent solar energy. If the project is revisited I would love to take it further.
