Description: Logo promoting LGBT annual social event in DC. Logo had to embroider well for promotional pieces but be interesting enough for stage banners and metro signage. Location based logo with the Capitol, Washington monument and the rainbow signifying LGBT Pride, diversity and community.

hey there. does the 'pride' have to do with lobbying for gay rights? that's what it communicates to me. :) and how different is this from previous versions they like? curious. thanks!

Thanks for the comment, You know I never thought of it that way but it could be political. No this logo was made to promote Washington DC's Pride Parade and Festivities. The logo I was looking to replace was designed in 1980s in a logo contest and the client was finding it difficult to embroider the logo because of the small stars and hands and all the detail in the capitol http://www.capitalpride.org/ *As you can see in the link the version is a floating detailed capitol, rainbow hands and stars. Like I said the politics in the committee kept them from updating the logo. A case of too many cooks in the kitchen.

yeah the rainbow colors with %22pride%22 tend to skew it a bit in my eye to gay pride as well. Should the monument neg space knock out the right side swooshes as well? I'd like to see the mark smaller with all caps text underneath as a thought.

Hey Logoboom, Thanks for the feedback as always. Actually, I thought Pride was pretty clear as a connecting word to Gay Pride. Yes this was proposed for the LGBT community, so you were right on target about that. Your right about the swooshes everything else is symmetrical but that. I will make it smaller and all caps would work better. Still dabomb! :)
