Hmmm...conceptually, I think this is AWESOME. But I almost feel like it's TOO subtle. I looked at it for a few minutes and didn't get it until I read your description. Actually, I almost totally ignored the chili (as I initially thought it to be a simple reflection), and instead fixated on the horizontal stroke after the E, and kept wondering what missing letter I was supposed to mentally fill in. I still don't quite get that aspect.
