Great graphic%3B why isn't the client calling this business %22investmentS%22...? Or, is that a typo? Surely they're not making just one investment...

Thanka guys.*JF don't know ask all the other %22Investment%22 Companies out there, maybe they can answer you better.

I know you're not running the company, and it's not your decision to make...but, that being said: it's either %22investment company%22 or %22investments%22 to be grammatically correct. My guess is your client does not claim english as his native language. Or, they're new to their industry and aren't familiar with naming standards. %A0**And, the %22designs%22 versus %22design%22 -- don't get me started! Just like a%A0construction company, when have you ever seen a construction company called %22___ constructions%22....? Designers design, construction firms construct (both are services).%A0We are providing design services, not selling tangible items (designs). %A0**Note: %22investments%22 can be used there in your client's name because they are selling access to already created %22things%22 -- hedge funds, CDs, stocks (all items). %A0

You know, logomotive, I don't care how fantastic a designer you are -- and you are very talented -- that was uncalled for. People who react like you did have been referred to as having a %22diva%22 attitude. **I've seen you attack anyone here on LP who offers anything less than a starstruck comment on your work. So I certainly won't take it personally that you reacted that way. I will call you on it, and ask that you return to a state of professionalism in this conversation. If I mention technical or grammatical errors, that's called %22feedback.%22 And you, as a designer, need to be looking out for their branding image welfare, as a steward of best practices. At least, in my opinion. Take it as you will, disagree -- I don't care. But be a professional about it, and don't go for a low blow with me.

JF I don't need a lecture here OK. And as far as comments go that is a bunch of bull manuer, I've taken lots of critique here and there. A company can be called XX Investment period. It's just a name as in Make an investment with us or your investing in us, your investment. not just make investments with us. There are many blank_ Investment so called companies out there. I personally don't have a problem with that.

Thanks David. JF sorry for the bit of sarcasim, that was uncalled for on my part, but just a difference of opinion. An S can always be added I'm sure.

On an unrelated note... It is easy to get caught up in finding clever ways to include as many double meanings and symbols into a logo, but this one is successful not because of the N, M, graph, mountain, etc. but because it has the look and feel of an investment broker. Those other things make it impressive to insiders, but most people wouldn't even notice or care. So that is to say, great job with the clever stuff, and especially pulling it all together into something that works without needing to explain it.

Thanks for that, Logomotive%3B appreciated. And, I still like this graphic work%3B it works really well on a non-verbal level.

Luma up there%5E hit the nail on the head. So many logo designers today are just looking to exploit clever gimmicks, regardless of whether or not their works actually communicate to their clients' target audiences. But this one is clever AND it works for its intended audience. Bravo!
