Description: Logo intended to be a 'rebrand' of the Detroit Lions football team logo. Part 2 of 32 in my quest to redesign the NFL. I've also added some alternate color uses and a 'European football' version on a shield, just because I like to play with things like that. It could also be used for a Lions team other than Detroit.

Looks Great so far. would like to see a few more highlights of fur and shaped a bit better for helmet etc... Type is lacking big time.

Thanks! Out of curiosity, what would you suggest for better shaping for a helmet? I'm thinking the squareness of the image would fit pretty well on there. Unless you mean the text on the helmet as well?

I updated it slightly. My main concern with the main and adding highlight points is I don't want it to start looking overly 'goku' if you know what I mean. It's always great to get some outside perspective and feedback!

First, this is bloody great! It does seem similar to the Monarchs logo by Fraser Davidson though. http://www.noupe.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Monarchs.png

I see all of the differences, and nothing is exactly the same, but I see a lot of similarities too. Just a heads up.

@notjelly: I have to kick myself a bit on this one. I have seen Frasers work before and never made that connection in my head. But seeing it here, there are definitely similarities. Namely the highlight on the nose, and shadow in the cheek area, and I guess the angle overall is somewhat similar. Good eye, but it's always a bit disappointing to find out a mark is similar to something already out there. :p Hopefully the differences are vast enough to make it a minor issue.

I could tell it was a case of accidental inspiration. Your work has a lot of unique qualities that give it merit and help it to stand on it's own. And since yours is a just for fun piece I think this is likely a no harm no foul situation.
