- You made it
- Please follow the instructions below to the letter per logo, not doing so may get an entry excluded.
How to format
- All logos need to be on a white background, not a gradiated background, not a colored background, not a textured background, pure white. Your images don't have to be black and white but the background needs to be white.
- Each logo box must be width: 2.4 inches x height: 2.25 inches with a minimum .25 inch inset. Maximize the logo in the space provided, not doing so may exclude the logo from use. Don't over do it, use your best judgement but the logo should take up most of the space.
- Color mode CMYK, please make sure you convert it to CMYK so that you are comfortable with the colors before sending.
- 300 DPI
- Save as tiff or jpg - set to maximum quality.
What info to include, how to save
- File naming: Save your files in this format; first 3 digits of your username, first name initial, last name initial, incremental numbering. Example: if the user is Climaxdesigns then the file names need to be clidb1, clidb2, clidb3... etc.
- In a plain text file put the details of each logo. Example:
filename: clidb1
logo name: Cheese Straws
designer: Username (Real name) <- exactly like this
status: Client Work - set same as on site
description: Short two sentence description, your description should not be longer than what im writing here. This will be enough information to let readers know whats going on with the logo.
You should end up with one (1) plain text file with entries formated like the above for each of your logos which I can now easily identify with the corresponding image name it, like the following example: clidb_details.txt of course replace clidb with your own three letter username and two initials from your real name.
How to package
- If you dont already have a zip utility go download the free winzip utility (works for PC and Mac). Add all the formated images and the plain text file. Name the zip archive similar to how we saved each logo, excpet this time instead of a number just put _arch. Example: clidb_arch.zip
- Compose a new email message and attach the zip file. In the message body put your logopond username, your full real name and your website or email address. Not both, if you dont have a website and don't want to add your email address, then put your logopond showcase url.
- VERY IMPORTANT: in the subject line put :
' LPBV1 contributor'
DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ELSE IN THE SUBJECT LINE. THIS EMAIL SHOULD HAVE ONE (1) FILE ATTACHED, THE ZIP FILE. IF NOT YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.
Email it to cd@climaxdesigns.com

I would recommend putting standard ground shipping for this as the shipping amounts must be charged with the purchase of the book but obviously only apply once the book goes into shipping phase. Estimated shipping date, summer 2012 ( as we get closer I will announce a firm ship date).
