Shawu - Colonial Lodge

Shawu was one of the oldest elephants in South Africa. The lodge's decor and architecture is in Colonial style. I wanted to bring in the very rich colonial elements, but also some of the elephant. The dramatic look was inspired by cigar labels. Green and gold was used as this is South Africa's national colours and a big overseas tourist attraction.
