Anyways, nicely done. One of my favorite

ismith said:It\'s similar, but different enough. The shapes by MS were more abstract and didn\'t involve white. It\'s interesting but I have no idea what it has in common with elastic, other than rectangularity...

Kyle Peatt said:Nice. I agree with disconnecting the L and the A. I\'m worried about how well this will translate to one colour or on to a white background...

Well done.

Matthew C. Gallagher said:Nicely done. The L A touching does not concern, but Kyle\'s comment on how the logo will translate to a white background is a valid point. Overall a well-designed logo.

Teevio said:I love how this looks although it seems that it would be difficult to recreate for business materials like letterhead.
Jul. 25 '06
Anagoge said:I really don\'t see why it would be so difficult to reproduce this in print. Simply put the logo in a black box as it is now.

It will be a bitch to print this logo though.. :P Maybe we could have a gallery of applications of logo?

dirk_sabbe said:I really like this a lot. Brilliant execution too.
I\'m just wondering here what will happen to this design when it needs to be printed (in offset maybe) or when it needs to be rendered on a ballpoint...
How do you convert this to one color and only one color?
Jul. 28 '06
Chris Tabor said:Really like the type treatment... perhaps it might benefit from making the squares a little more elastic.
Jul. 28 '06
Paul said:I really like this... but I would be interested to see it printed on a letterhead, looks great on screen. Do they have a white background version, or a mono colour?

Voltius said:This is one of the most Gorgeous and proffesional looking Logos I\'ve seen.
The logo says loudly, \"I\'m ready for success and to be used as a trademark proudly\"
Over-analyzing is the main reason why some logos suck, look at the general feel and mood of your logo when you see it for just a few seconds. Don\'t stare at it for minutes on end. Don\'t pick out every little feature and judge it, the logo represents itself as a whole.

grubedoo said:The connected L and A make perfect visual sense. Putting a space between them would force a widened kerning of the rest lettermark which wouldn\'t work. As is, it\'s perfectly executed.

Amazing! Keep up the great work!

design_uk said:There have been alot of postive comments posted, and rightly so.
The typograpghy is balanced and clean. The bendy screens, may present some problems for various issues, but as a supporting graphic it brightens and adds lumanence, depth and further attracts the eye.
Does it serve the purpose well?
Well my personal view is that it doesn\'t really say web design (not that it should nessecarily) or say a lot about the character of the company...
This is definately a logotype that reminds of high-tech slick plasma/tv/dvd manufacturer rather than creative web design company.
This, I would say, is an important point in the world of identity, and should be considered when looking at this logo.
Anyway well done on a slick looking logo.

David said:Dirk_sabbe, your comment was for some reason cut off. can you please finish it. I\'m interested to hear what you mean, maybe, if the issue is an actual logopond problem rather than a wider designer problem, from what i get from what design_uk was saying, we can address it...
I have to say i aggree with you design_uk about what you are saying in general, but i disagree that this logo doesnt accomplish this. when i read elasticdigital then i see RGB i immediately think web, now maybe because i am a designer i understand that RGB is for web and an average lay person wont. but in thruth while some icons imagry help the visual to come together more directly, i think this is a unique way to show that they deal in the digital feild which is RBG and that their company is flexible. which is why the graphic is bent.
I cant think of a more direct way to exude that emotion andnot be campy-meaning an actual commuter screen or a keyboard.

DESIGN_UK said:Hi David,
I could guess as to where Dirk was going with his comments but I shall not digress at this moment!
To answer your comments,
firstly I would say you are not really the target audience and for you to make this link does not really make a convincing argument .
Think RGB, think just WEB? I don\'t think so... Think CURSOR, think WEB?- ah yeh maybe... but even then - these are the most obvious of ideas.
RGB Screens bendy or not -are certainly not unique.
I would say that the RGB colour \'concpet\' is not only old as the the hills, (and has been used in that context a billion times) but much more importantly,
is that \'RGB\' is \'not exclusive\' to the web - and I think most people will agree that those 3 colours are more connected, if anything, to our televisual world of tech than it is of our web browsers.
(I wonder how many time , sony/hitachi/LG/ panasonic etc used those rgb colours in their logos over the years?!)
If Julius really thought about it, and wanted to base an idea on colour and the web why did he not think a bit further about it? maybe something about hex colours or something just a little bit ?
A web company competing in todays market needs to have an identity that says something different, whether that it\'s something that reflects them or their mission or attitude to their work etc or .
Being visuly direct (or obvious) in ideas such as this, won\'t in this manner won\'t make this a true success.
I am not trying to make bad of the work (please refer to previous post - very slick and I do like it etc) I am sure the web company in sydney love it, and that\'s great if they do.
I am just saying that it could work much much better for the purpose.
LONG LIVE THE LOGO!

david said:\"firstly I would say you are not really the target audience and for you to make this link does not really make a convincing argument .\"
i said as much:
\"now maybe because i am a designer i understand that RGB is for web and an average lay person wont. \"
admittedly this could be a television company logo. i think the question im trying to get at-especially since he has a grey flag(opinions welcome but not asked for)- is what could he have done differently? without being more direct. again, if im a lay person a hex value or reference means nothing to me.
Aug. 14 '06
design_uk said:True you did say as much.
The hex comment, was simply an example of making the colour idea more related to the web rather than generic rgb.
The thing is, I would not suggest a concept based around rgb - or screens at all.
however, we do not know the brief given by the client, they may have asked for this...

unstructure said:JULIUS: Usually a nicely worded cease and desist letter works nicely, tell them you would like it removed immediately since it violates your copyright. If they refuse then you can email their host and use the DMCA as reference for shutting their site down, since their host can be part of the suit later.
ADDFLASH: First thing you should do is remove the logo ... its obviously not yours and you got ripped off. I would be angry too ... I hope you at least got this rip-off at a bargain price, which usually goes to show what\'s happens when you trust the design of your brand to someone who changes $100. If you paid a lot addflash ... then I would confront the design, and get your money back. If they refuse call a lawyer, open and shut case.

said:I like this one – nice type, the symbol reminds me little of the Microsoft Dynamics, but yours is far better. And the reflection is very \'06, not that it\'s a bad thing, but very hip at the moment but I\'m guessing it would work pretty good without it as well, when that effect eventuelly becomes tired.
