Description: The Hawaiian Historical Print Society logo was completed for an artist that reproduces rare Hawaiian prints from the Captain Cook era. New etchings are produced in limited quantities. The logo design was influenced by studying the artwork. Several elements from different paintings were combined to create the final results. Hand-drawn concepts were scanned into Adobe Illustrator and used as a template. Final color choice was found in the reproduced artwork. Awards: 2007-Logo will be seen in "The Big Book of Logos #5", Logo received Bronze award from www.portfolios.com 4th annual award show.

Really nice, I like it. I like the fact that you did not use the tiki font, I like the typeface you have chosen. Good work.

i really love the detail in the face... even the shadow of the chin has that same angle of the plant to the left. i dont know if that was intended but it really draws the eye in and then makes you want to view this logo in a clockwise manner.

I am really quite astounded by the attention this logo has received. I had no idea my fellow peers would approve of my work. Thank you for all the feedback. I have not entered it in any contests, but have started to think twice now.

Well Laurie, most of us around here will give credit where credit is due and this is a fine piece. I'd say it's contest worthy. Again nice work.

This logo really works, the illustration/icon is solid and portrays Hawaii well, the colors are good, and the font works well with the symbol. Great job!
