So, a vibrant lightbulb doesn't convey that imagery to me; it conflicts, actually. Seeing that a lightbulb literally needs to 'connect' to a socket to work, having the notion of non-connectedness seems off to me.
Type is the strongest element of this design, imo. Proportions of the bottom of the bulb to the bulb itself is, well...sorry to say this, it's off. No pun intended...
