Description: This logo is for a graphic design company that\\\\\\\'s solely owned by Kelvin Chappell. It displays a silhouette of him. Each ray coming from the silhouette represents the different types of design such as print, signage, web, etc. that this company is responsible for. Each ray is then broken down into multiple circles that signify the elements of the design categories. ie.(print = business cards, magazines, posters, books, etc.)

They all look like the same circle to me.

Okay, obviously you are missing the concept. Try this. In design you have print, web, identity, signage(separate rays on the starburst). For print you have magazines, posters, letterheads(each dot on the ray of the starburst). Thus you have multiple circles creating the rays which form the starburst.

I like the silhouette and the concept is great, circles representing different services/skills, but the circles remind me of the Agilent Technologies logo (agilent.com).

I completely "get" the concept, I'm just saying that's a very wordy concept which is not conveyed simply via bursting circles. One circle "represents" print, while the exact other one 45 degrees away represents web... it's a little bit of an arbitrary assignment of values. Regardless, I think the silhouette, which could work well, dwarfs the name entirely too much.

Islander-I've never even seen agilent until you made that comment, actually I had never even heard of it. Kult-I'm actually known by my name in the area because I was doing freelance for a while behind the scenes. Print, Web, Signage are really rays of the starburst but each circle is an item that falls in the print, web categories. The reason the silhouette is so large is because I'm trying to build that symbol that when it's a 1"x1" they can still recognize. My name is a bit long. I do however follow what you are saying and will take it into consideration.

Unless this starburst is a well used symbol, there is no reason for anyone to understand that they represent different facets of the business. Honestly, from the logo alone I presumed it was for a motivational speaker or some other type of spiritual guru.
