too much like AT&T?

AT&T immediately comes to mind.

That is what I thought as well. But the marks are quite different.

i like it.

"But the marks are quite different." ATT logo: Blue, 3-D sphere, transparent slices. Sorry, while this is arguably better executed that ATT, it's pretty much an exact copy from the TM perspective.

LOL Thanks for the comments. This is a comp and not a final logo. However the company has much greater issues than the globe. Since they are in the same indusrty in a sort herin lies their problem. http://www.att.net

i reckon one of their problems might be their 'nothing' name ;) great execution on the logo though senter.

Explain how this is different from ATT's?

raja said on Feb. 06 '07

I don't see this as a rip of the ATT logo. There were many more before ATT.

If someone automatically sees someone elses logo in your logo, you know that you need to go back rethink it. Just my personally though. Nice execution though.

I don't see AT&T here. Nice sphere, I'd do the type-face in another brighter color to contrast it with the symbol. Nice logo!

at&t all i think of

emtarte said on May. 16 '07

would have to agree that it's too similar to at&t... i'm not saying "too similar" to imply it's a rip or derivative, but because at&t basically has a monopoly on recognition of the blue swirly/sliced globe, and apparently even has a service with the exact same name. speaking from a branding position, i'd be afraid people wouldn't recognize this as a unique business, or (worst case scenario) would feel this brand is misrepresenting itself or being duplicitous.

This is updated correct?

What if it were a sphere made of a more net looking graphic?
