You should use a custom stroke, because the point edges are very telling of the default square stroke.

This is a very nice mark, but it needs some type. I like the point edges, but I think it could use some more thick and thin areas. It gets a little heavy on the wing and tail feather areas

There is type that goes along with this but I do not have that file or seen a proof with the text added. I was only brought in on this project to create the icon.
