This is slick. It definitely has the Greek god feel to it. Beautiful work as usual.

nice illustration, but it needs some type to make it a logo.

KGB... have you never seen the secondary logos or primary logos for pro sports teams. What about apple's new corporate identity which is just the apple. They have dropped all wording from their identity set. Just a FYI. ;)

SenterB,
Very nice work.
But while I appreciate the spirit of your rebuttal to KGB, I feel compelled to add some thoughts. Those marks drop all type when their identity has become the true definition of an icon. They build so much equity in their brand from brilliant marketing for years and then the mark takes on a life of its own. At that point it is possible to drop the type. But before that equity is developed it would be poor marketing. For example a billboard with that logo on it would not drive business to anyone. Because no one would know what it was for. . . unless it were used as a teaser and type was added later. But, that would be an effort at building the brand equity. So, with that said, I have to agree with KGB in this case. But I love the mark and I apologize for my long winded response. You are a talented dude.

I think your concept is great. The illustration itself is pretty sweet although I don't dig the red helmet, but that's personal opinion.

I also agree with KGB and especially WetDog. Apple, Nike, Shell, McDonalds, etc. all had type as part of their logos.
