kool Logo dude, but I think the B & R is okey, I would perhaps think about the A? it looks for me a lil like a "r"?
But great work.

oh you could maybe try to make the D like the C so it would look like a butterfly or something

Honestly, I'm getting pretty tired seeing logos with parts of the letterforms replaced with squares and/or circles. To me, this isn't a concept, it's merely a style. I don't even get it. And for a D.J., I would think circles would be more appropriate relating back to the shape of a record or CD. The kerning isn't working for me either. I hope I don't sound too harsh.

i disagree, style and concept go hand in hand, i see this as some techno dj playing at a club where there are bright strobe lights of the various colors, i have been looking for some other looks like this to see if there s a flood of such on this site and there are only a hand full, i guess it one of those things whre if you dislike something it sticks out to you.

Good point about the "bright strobe lights of various colors". I can see that. The logo does work in this particular case, but sometimes I like to push other designers outside of the box with my comments. It's very easy as a logo designer to apply a certain style to a logo because it works for that type of business. I've done it myself. :^) Also, my comment was not a direct reference to the logos on LogoPond. This isn't the only website I use for Logo and Identity inspiration. There are books, websites, magazines, etc. for viewing logos. I should have said, this isn't a very interesting design to me, it's a style that I've been noticing more and more. Who am I to say what's right and wrong? I've only been a logo designer for about 2 years now. I have so much to learn. The logo looks good to me, I just would have taken another approach.

my comment was not point at you to step away from what you said, jsut good discussion thats how we all learn, if you think its over used style stand by that unless compelled by others debate...

"I like to push other designers outside of the box " i 100% agree with that sentiment, thats what i was trying to do with my foru post about thick and think font treatments and you came at it from an angle that i never though of

I can't tell you how much I've already learned from just being on this site for a few months now. It's a great resource. Also, I wasn't trying to step away from what I originally said. Just wanted to make a few more points...that's all. :-) Now back to the logo.

Thanks for the comments ocularink & climax, i guess you can say ive just applied the whole 'letterforms replaced with squares and/or circles' treatment, but for anyone who knows brad, he chops and cuts the hell out of tracks so its more a play on that aspect - not just doing it for the sake of it. im working on a few more versions, ill post when i get done. hopefully the next will be a little more out of the box ;)
thanks again!
Guy.

Hey Guy, your explanation supports the style, and like "yt" says the "A" is getting lost in the shuffle, other than that it's got flavor. Keep it up.

Cheers cesab68, i just wanted to do something a little abstract that plays on his particular mixing style rather than doing the obvious circular record thing - i think the text alone is rounded enough. For anyone that knows a turntable setup, i tried to get that across with the 'DIC' shaped like two decks and a mixer (can you guys see that?). i originally had the 'a' like the upsidedown 'u' might try to revert back to that and try a few different methods. If anyone has anymore ideas, shoot! Thanks again for the feedback!
Guy.
