@tonfue: I remember Peter Andre, but I'm not seeing the connection :) Can you elaborate?
@hindmarsh: sweet!

Very unique and refreshing. Nice work, Jess. Can I make one nit-picky comment? The right edge of the fork seems ever so slightly off. Just barely. Even so, this is great. You're in a league of your own.

I don't know. I feel like the irregularity or flaw makes the logo. How perfect do you think drawing out a spoon and fork with speghetti on your table top would look?
OcularInk said on Feb. 20 '09
@ THEArtistT : If your eye gets stuck in one spot, then it needs to be fixed. It's a minor detail, as Jess already knows. Just thought I'd point it out.
@ hindmarshdesign : No prob. The comment is deserved. :-)

Lively fork & spoon!... I wonder what the fork is saying to the spoon...

good start.
the spoon shape is good, the fork prongs need a little work.
for a logo, I feel the type treatment should be more designed and thought out.

Well, I'm not sure why everyone is coming up with these comments... Brilliant? awesome? do you people ever speak the truth, or do you just tell people what they want to hear? It doesn't look like it could ever make it as a logo.. Illustrator job isn't good.. especially for little detail like this. It could be better.. good attempt...

Stephen, if you spend just a little more time you'll clearly see that this site is, if nothing else, brutally honest.

not everyone is going to like everything. I personally love it. feel free to be a hater, I guess.
Stephen James said on Mar. 10 '09
And really.. I'm not being a hater. I was simply asking a question as to why you think it's Brilliant. This is a restaurant right? Can you really see this being placed on a big sign? I dont know maybe its just me, but i cant. It's just not bold enough, and doesn't seem clean to me.
theartistt said on Mar. 10 '09
sure. it is probably the easiest logo I have ever seen for a neon sign. but cut vinyl, painted, what have you, it would work great. if the application requires a horizontal layout, that can be easily done. the spaghetti spoon and fork are just as recognizable at a smaller size. it totally speaks Italian food regardless of language. it is a perfect logo for a restaurant.

I don't think it is close at all. The concept is only vaguely similar, and the style is very different. when you look at the two you get a completely different feeling from one to the other. In all honesty this would be a much better logo for a food stylist than the preschool looking one you have linked to.
epsilon said on Mar. 25 '09
Yeah, I know they look and feel different. But the core concept is the same and since it is quite unusual one, it naturally connects these two logos.

Well, it is amazing, I can see it already in signs, menus, shirts, etc. it would look great!, I hope you sell it soon, well done.

Thank you Jess, I thought my logo needed some kind of explanation, so I opted for doing a little animation, I hope it's clear though, as for why the eagle, there is a story behind it too. :)
