Are the sides of the Q and S meant to be cut off slighty? That makes me feel a little claustrophobic. I like the overall impact though. **

New file uploaded. It's my resizing in photoshop that cut the sides off.

Glad to see your work again Aen, its been awhile you may remember me as iggyboo from anticubicle. Anyways good stuff, I want to know what the word means though. Qgeis

Ehum? Just some letters :S No design at all..

in time and experience Andreas you will find out why this is indeed design and not just letters.

Nice type solution. Your kerning is always impecable. The letterforms seem to flow very nicely. And the negative space is working well too. Not distracting at all. Good job!

Wow I haven't been visiting logopond and there are already a few comments. @ Sisudesigns: Yea I remember iggyboo on AC. Good to see you here and thanks for the critic. Qgeis means nothing actually. My old online nickname was egeis and so I sort of evolved it to Qgeis. Used to be my blog and portfolio but now it's replaced by AEN DIRECT.

@ Ocularlink: Yes kerning to me is very important. it can make a type painful to the eyes or soothing. Now I look at it, it seems the space between eis should be tighter. The typeface is Garamond. The Q is shortened so it has a lower capline and close to the dot of the i. The tail of the Q is also modified to touch the g.
