Bistro 1689 - now Illusionz Wine Bar Logo

So, almost 7 years from the creation date (2004), the path of this logo ends at winning the 2009 Best Logo - Canada award. The original restaurant in San Fransisco, Bistro 1689, shut down a couple of years after adopting the logo (don't blame me). I revisited the concept because I had retained the rights to the design and was approached by a business who showed interest in it as displayed in my portfolio. The logo can now be seen here under the DBA name of Illusionz Wine Bar

What...you think you're clever or something? :-P Great use of negative space. I feel like the type needs a little more breathing room on the right and left side. -Kevin

like the other one better, much more joie de vivre and enjoying wine. this one seems too technical for its purpose. The way I see it.

I've seen so many executions of this idea, probably because it is a clever one indeed, but since your dates from '04 I guess that now I know who was the first one! Congrats! btw. why don't you update the image with current brandname?

Thanks for looking and thanks to whomever placed it in the gallery. I didn't know it was in there, I enter logopond from the view all link, but good idea hyperborea, if I change it now, the reason for it being put there would be different -- I think?
