yup, what type 8 said, you can get the same effect with hard colors and transparency, make the bright hard colors with the big circles int eh foreground and as they get smaller and o into the background lighten the colors, will have almost identical effect

I like the blur it's odd in a good way IMO. But I'd worry about repo issues.
