jawsy said:I like the suttle feel of the logo. Although i suspect that it would loose its quality on a white background due to the white tints already used in the shape.
Overal great design

I'm really getting tired of seeing all of these link references to similar marks. I can't say much because I have done this before, but I have stopped. There's no telling whether or not grafikonline has ever seen that logo before or not. My guess would be that he hasn't...unless for some reason it got stored subconsciously in his memory.
I apologize to anyone that I have done this to in the past, but can we all refrain from doing this in the future? It's just not fair to the designer. I don't think any of us talented ones (not to try and put myself in that category) would intentionally rip a logo. And besides, each logo uses different shapes, use of color, fonts/type, and layout. Only the gradient effect is similar.
Not trying to jack the thread, just trying to make a point. With that said, back on topic.
I still love this one!!

Sisudesigns said:I like the logo, I have accidently done it before too. But I saw it on another store front subconciously. It pissed me off so much that I dont show logos to a client before I do a dipstick test on like 30 people now.
As for the two logos, they dont look similar enough, and the concept is neither his nor the gabriel resources anyways its that guy Escher. If anything its homage to escher.

The colors and type make it his.

OMNI said:Nice logo. Just needs refining: smoother gradations (so it doesn't look like the gradations end abruptly) and a bit more saturated colors on the shades of the light blue and green (more like the shade on the bottom blue because they look too grayish). And I'd take out the hairline, you don't need it, it's just adding something that doesn't have a purpose. When you add a line dividing the symbol from the logotype it's because either there's more text than usual in the logotype or the symbol is more complex, or both; and the line shouldn't be that thin.

CreativeGuy said:I would like to see the line removed, I don't think it's necessary. I would also like to see this logo on a white background.
That being said, it's very nice. I like that you chose a simple sans-serif font to go with the mark.

bazizi said:very nice symbol, not so unique with the shape but unique with the use of colors.
my only problem with it is with typography, the kerning is not set right. the spacing between the first 3 letters ( ARA ) seems longer than the next 3 (MOV) ... it's a battle of negative spaces.

willyk said:Very elegant. Nice to look at - especially on a black background. I too tend avoid gradients (gotta get out of my ruts!)... and see the 'white background' potential concern. The vertical line is a nice unifier. I looked at all of the links posted - so what? Is there really anything 'new under the sun'? really? Isn't that what this business is all about? Borrow. Diffuse. Modify. That's reality. We do it without even realizing it. One thing - It would be nice to know what ARAMOVA did so as to understand the relevance of the symbol. Just the thoughts of a discussion thread newbie.

b3nder said:I tend to avoid gradients too. I like the way that they look but they can be hard to imitate if the client wants a logo on a t-shirt for example or emboidered on a hat. I really like the look of this mark and dont think it has any relationship to the links above. Well done!
