well i like it, but i do have a soft spot for transparency :P

The mark is alright, the type is pretty generic though.
The concept as a whole I think is a bit poor for support software!

I don't think a design that makes use of generic fonts should be frowned upon.

Thanks Jesse. I agree with you about the font choice. Not every design needs customised type.

Tonfue,

Each block is used to signify an element of the company. Yep, this is a work-in-progress, and quite a few other iterations have been created. This is one of the ideas my client favours.

Kode,

Gotham is one of my favourite typefaces. Extremely legible at small sizes, and very well crafted.

revolvedesign, it is Jesse, isn't it? Sorry if I got your name wrong. It's the only one I saw on your website.

Jesse (I hope I got your name right), thanks, and I agree, not every logo needs customised type.

Tonfue,

Yep, it's a work in progress. Each block signifies a different element of the company. Quite a few iterations were created, and at present, my client favours this more than the others.

Kode,

Gotham is a very well-crafted typeface. Extremely legible at small sizes. Professional and contemporary.

Oh god, where's the 'delete comment' button when you need one? Sorry people.

revolvedesign said on Nov. 25 '08

No you got right David ;)
I also wonder the same thing about the 'delete comment' button lol
I look forward to seeing your finalised version.

I actually think that a lot of generic fonts can make a concept *stronger*, it just doesn't in this case you know!
Don't get me wrong david, I think you're a great designer and I truly admire your work. I just think that as it stands, with your talent, you should be able to give it a little something that I think is missing.

Kode,

I appreciate your feedback, and didn't take your comment the wrong way at all. Of all the comments I receive, I prefer to read those that are critical of my work, so thank you.

Have a good one.

Lovely colors.

Love the design David, my only critique is that I feel the left side dominates the right, maybe a slight colour muting would help? Just a suggestion.
