I like it but think the lines are way too thick. Think about dot gain.

agree with logomotive, maybe match stroke thickness with your font.

i know that your target m8 not be the middle east, but since it's a social commerce site, some people from there can visit it, anyway what i meant by that is that they read from right to left, so your smiles will be from happy to sad, just to let you know :)**still it's a nice logo %3B)

Did you do this one for worth1000? Cause I think I remember the name from a contest there.

Yes, that's me. I understand that %22spec work%22 is often frowned upon here, but as a beginner/hobbyist without the opportunity to take classes, it seems like a valuable opportunity to practice. I'm sorry this had to be removed from the showcase, it's not the first logo to make its way from worth to logopond.

what's wrong with practicing here, behance, faveup or on incspring? I understand where you come from very well, but, really, there are much better options these days than spec sites imho...

The answer logoholik is money. Not greed, but the need to make a living. I am not supporting spec sites in any shape or form but when times are hard I don't see what's wrong with entering a competition now and again. At the end of the day we as designers (like everyone else) have financial responsibilities, and need to make ends meet.%0D*%0D*I dont think it's fair that this should've been removed from the gallery just because it was spec, if you like the design you like the design.%0D*%0D*Myco, the harsh reality is that the best designs never get chosen in contests anyway, which has been stated before, but I can understand you're frustration at trying to get things off the ground.

@myco, I apologise for being the cause of removal of your design from the frontpage. I didn't know people feel this strongly about spec work.**It's funny though how much logo's here in the pond, I've seen being pitched on 99designs.*

You will be all surprised to see how many designers (almost all from top uploaders list for eg.) here have participated once on similar sites and thus have some logos on gallery too. I am certainly one of them (i will use Mike's words - yes i have sinned :)... Nothing new here. My point was that i really think that new, young designers have much better opportunity for exposure now (and yes, even for some extra %24, take incspring.com for example) than back in ol' days... Show your skills and ideas here - i can tell you that some 60%25 of my new clients are coming directly from pond!

Farmill: No need for apologies.%0D*%0D*Logoholik: It's true, there are many better opportunities than worth1000 out there. I'm just trying to build up something of a portfolio to get the ball rolling. It's hard to get someone to consider you with nothing to show.%0D*%0D*Also, I'm not sold on IncSpring. It seems like many people are designing things specifically to be put up on IncSpring. The way I understand it, that site was meant to be a place for work already completed but without a current use. It feels like a bit of a shot in the dark, too, without any real client in mind. Maybe I'll give it a try.%0D*%0D*Itsgareth and Relevant: Thanks for your opinions.

hmm, i just went to that contest and noticed this: *%22Any font may be used. Please upload your font to your corporate files area%22*Now, this is outrageous! and totally illegal if you use any commercial font (and a number of non-commercial but marked for personal use only)...

I know.. it IS ridiculous. I always just outline my text and give them that.
