so please only take these comments, including this one, with a grain of salt and only if it makes sense to you(which it seems as per your last comment). if you tried to please every different whim you\'d be changing it till the end of time.

Oil company or not, he is still branding his initials, \'BP\'. I still think these initials have already been too established as a well known brand (even if the brand is significantly different). I would have been a little more creative when creating a company name for a \'creative\' business.
And if you like the gradient/reflection effect, then I say keep it. It\'s your one time to create a logo exactly the way YOU want it.
