I think it feels very confined because of the way in which you've boxed in the light beams. If you add color to them (perhaps a lighter yellow) and let the one on the right break out of the box and fade into white it would help to open it up and make it feel more dynamic.

I would also re-break your type onto two lines and bump up the point size slightly for better balance with your mark.
