volfro said:This logo is dead freaking sexy. Inspiring--I can see lots and lots of themes coming from this mark, in your branding and stuff. Sleek and quick and at the same time bold and military.
I can't help but wonder: why is it vertical? Doesn't that affect readability (and as a result memorability)? If it didn't look so darned much like some sort of badge of honor on a veteran's coat, I'd say turn it right-side-up.
Also, what font makes up the "KGB"? I can see Futura (or something like it) in the "Design" part. And, for that matter, the KGB, but the B throws me off.
Anyway, awesome work, and thanks for the vote.

OcularInk said:At first, I did not read this as a bomb. But man, now that I do, it all makes sense...I really like this one. Any chance you were a skateboarder at one time or another? I used to skate a lot, and this reminds me of a skate brand or something. Also, I like your choice of die-cut on the card. I bet it looks nice as well.

JF said:Your work on iheartlogos is fantastic. That client of yours really knows what they're doing, too. Their site is a great example of good design, planning, and execution. It's even written well; it's a solid example of what good communication should be. Impressive.

epsilon said:Just looked at iheartlogos. They totally lost me at "$10 per logo" part. I know they are aiming at LogoLounge, but their voting arrangement is poorly thought through.
Consider what happens with hopeful submitters when they realize that $10 a pop did not put their logos in the book. They will perceive the situation as grossly unfair (since they carefully selected and submitted the best of their stuff, right ?), and will go vengeful on everyone by up-voting the crap and down-voting the good stuff.
So if they stick to their word and do open voting the way they promise, the book may not be as exciting as they imagine it. Letting participants judge is not exactly a great idea, especially if there's money involved.

logome said:@AP - actually I completely disagree with you. How do you think all the competitions around the world operate? $ Print, CA, How - do you not enter anything ever unless its free. Good luck finding those that feel legitimate, and would let anything in. I stumbled across iheartlogos.com a month ago and thought to myself, "finally a competition site that caters to the entrants, with zero favoritism". Let the community judge - 1 bad egg isn't going to ruin it for the rest of the best. Cream always rises to the top. Try it and find out.
ps KGB your the bomb.
