My problem with this one is that it's low-concept, or so subtle that it doesn't read the way it should. I got the idea of making the mark look like mercury because it tends to group together into a central place--because of surface tension or something. Like I said, it's a stretch.

Maybe it would be better with the drops coming together instead of separate.

What you mentioned about letting them come together, i think you shouldn't. Because this stuff would join together faster than you would normally see, so having them so close together maybe creates more of a tension.

Maybe it would be good to emphasize this tension even more, but I can't think of how... anyone else?
