Does Nike\'s swoosh respresent shoes? Does Apple\'s logo represent computers?

Character = Brand, find that combo works well in this market place.

I love this logo! but i have to disagree about the apple and nike logo. Apples are a symbol of creativity and ideas (Isaac Newton) and the nike swoosh was based off of the greek goddess, Nike's, wings
