What did you ask about the bamboo? It is a digital design, vector ,did it in illustrator - a couple of layers and I used the blur tool to give it a more realistic depth of field. The shield I did in photoshop, will look at the shadow. Thanks

Good point kunt. As the spiral is now it's actually the literal result of the bottom of the clef rotating around itself. That's just the natural negative space left over. But I think you are right...it's not really needed.
