MagicShadow, first off i think this is great work (hence the float :D). I would not say its the exact color or that has exact graphic resemblance, it´s just an impression that stroke me at first and actually was posted as a question to hear more opinions. The thing to me is that this black / yellow composition relates to the corporate use of associated brands for Caterpillar, so called my eye as such. But again, great work!

I know that CAT is a huge brand but I used colors that are use internationally for such industries.Most of excavators and this type of equipment has those colors.
Construction lines and caution signage was thats things that inspired me.
If you noticed armadillo is also constructed of signage arrows :)
I think its great that your first association was with the CAT :)
