A much thinner, more streamlined version than the original, I've also dropped the red/orange.

The 'hands' have been more abstracted, because I wanted to depict more 'depth' than detail.

What do you think?

First I saw the logo without knowing the first version (now I do know) so here my comment: With the first sight I couldn't really see a person or figure in this logo but my initial connotations were the letter "&" and two stethoscopes...sorry. When I looked at your first version I could see the figure because of the hands...I read the comments and know now that they are a bit too small but they were important I think...

No problem Aliana, I wanted this new design a little 'ambiguous' I liked the original hands too, but yeah they were problematic.

Looking at it now, there are few curves on this one that I want to tweek, I may still be able to create hands & maybe feet as well in an updated version.

Cheers...

yo hayes. as far as the hands go, much better for ink. i think the tattoo artist will be able to get extrememly close to this look. the curves do seem a bit off now though. not sure why, maybe the inner bar is a little thinner now??? but anyway, looking good. I like the fact that the hands arnt perfectly represented hands, ads to the ink in my opinion. but really, it comes down to the person getting it done. i also like the all black look, color tats are beat (ha, once again, IMO)

Hey Smartinup, yeah there's something unsettling about these current shapes, to me is the loop & the large curve leading up to the loop, the rest seem to make sense.

I have an update ready to upload, but I thought i'd reply first...I went with the all black look as I was looking at examples of faded tats on the net & I determined that faded red/orange on 'tanned' skin looked really murky.

Updated...

Repaired curves, re-applied 2 hands & changed the orientation of the '2nd arm' (it now goes over than under, instead of vice-versa).

I like the way you've treated the overlaps here but the other version flows better.

Hey Firebrand, yeah I still like the original, but as KGB & Smartinup stated on it; from a tattoo point of view, it wouldn't work...

I was thinking more in terms of the sweep of the curves... seems more natural in the other version.

Oh...now I see what saying. Yeah I suppose it does, I do want it to look natural, & I also want to look feminine & graceful.

I'm taking in all & any advice I can get on this one...it's been a learning curve for

I've got one more week till my client wants to see some 'results'...plenty of time for tweaking :)

nice hayes. it looks even more like a human figure/contortionist. i think the small detail in the hands will still be lost, but not a major bridge to cross by all means. great job.

Cheers Doug, taking it into the Tattoo Shop tomorrow morning, to see if they can do it. I'll be giving them the full-size version of course, this one displayed is about 60-70% scaled down.

Great :) I wish I had a photo, I'd put it on flickr...The Tattooist did alter the hands slightly (extended the curve points)...The tallest point sorta 'cups' underneath the belly-button, but it looks great :)

Cheers!!
