I love the concept, but I'm not sure it's coming across quickly enough. At first glance, I see a ring attached to a k, and don't see the negative space.

I suggest either making the bubble white with the entire logo against an off-white background, or modifying the outline around the bubble so that it's not the same thickness as the rest of the font, which would hopefully call out the fact that it's not an object merged with the font, but instead an object over the font.
