I like the design, and the typography seems to work for me, however, it strangely aggravates me that I read 'square' and yet do not see a square, either in the strokes or even in the proportions of the type, thinking further making the type square in proportion might be best.

Agree with summae. A very nice feel overall. I know 'Village Square' doesn't have to be square but what summae suggested about 'squaring' the typeface would be a nice touch.

lol, I was thinking what chanpion stated, a village square doesn't necessarily have anything to do with a geometric square per say, yet somehow I think fitting the type in a square would still be good, and subtle ;-). By the by, I've been browsing your gallery and enjoyed it.
