"dumbed down" version of the logo, more towards print related needs, the "digital" version will contain some awesome photorealistic-ness cheesiness (be ready!).

That's a cool ideea. If you want my opinion, and I stress my, i wouldn't seek a photorealistic version, but a one coloured, or maybe 2, with no gradients.
