i like the font and the chopsticks. i would like it more if there wasn\'t any detail on the plate, just an outer color and a different shade on the inside. what are the shapes on the plate? chicken, fish, or bowling pins? still very nice overall.

If I am not mistaken it is a bonsai tree in the plate. ;)

Very nice. I do like the tree image in the center of the plate. If anything, I think the imagery on the outside ring of the plate complicates the design a bit.

The Bonsai font is alright and I appreciate the rounded Helvetica, but things get fussy in the middle of the composition. I would scrap the plate entirely and see what else you can come up with. The drop-shadowed chop-sticks are nice.

Hi Mical, I think this is a great logo. The fonts and colors work really well. The knockout of the bonsai tree against the white background is great. Perhpaps you can shorten the chopsticks a bit, and move them so as not to obscure the tree? This may help prevent issues when scaling down the logo. Just a thought regarding the fish: maybe you can reverse the background and foreground colors on the rim of the plate, and replace the fish with red circles to reference the Japanese flag?

love the shadows under the chopstix

nothing about this logo says "Japanese". the choice of colors (i.e. red and gold), the shapes and the composition are representative of a Chinese business instead

I agree with scraping the plate and possibly editing the colors to make it easier to see when printing small. The chopsticks are nice but without the plate might be too cliché.
