Adorable! And yours is better than the one they linked to above^ Only thing is I would like to see what this looks like with 'New Dog' in one of the 2 colors and 'Pet Shop' in the other. The attention to the word Dog leads me to think its a dog-only pet shop (not sure if that's the case).

@redheadllena thank you! and yes actually my intention was to design a logo for a only dog's pet shop, and that's why i marked the "dog" with another color. thanks again for your comment :).
