This does not look spankin new to me in terms of design. It looks spankin trendy. ;)

At first I couldn't read the font, I thought it read "Sparkr." The outlined cursive font is responsible for my mis-reading of the logo. I also have to agree with what admarcbart said, the logo looks trendy, not like something I would expect for a Spankin' New site.
