Description: a guy tries to establish a fast food restaurant similar to the well known fish + chips bars ... I was asked to think about a logo for that ...
unfortunately today rejected .... :(

This is really nice. I like it Bernd! My only suggestion would be to make the type a hair bigger and color it something like a dark brown? Maybe not, though. It's great either way.

it's never a done deal until the money is in the pocket bernd. I've had a couple gallerized in the past that got clients over the line but, i've also had a couple of clients that had concepts gallerized and they still went other designs. one in particular client had all three concepts i presented gallerized and they ended up going with another firm - the logo they ended up with has left me scratching my head. i mean, really scratching my head.

Hmm, this comes with love Bern, and I know this has been heaped with praise. but it doesn't come together as a finished piece, (obviously you already stated this was your first attempt) The text doesn't hold up here I think its kerned out way to much, there's more than a letter space between the words, which I might expect in maybe a tagline or subline, but not here. The shadow on the fish, I don't know I know what you are trying to do but it just feels like first year illustrator user. I don't mean that condescendingly, but it just looks unpolished, or rather the 'cleanliness' of it makes it look unfinished. I think i know what it is, the fish and chip has no texture but the 'sand/ricepaper?' has all the texture. maybe if there was some texture an maybe if the fish was 'folded' across the chip it might look more polished.

What's with all these awesomely brilliant fish and chip logos getting rejected?? It's weird how what I wrote above ended up transpiring with mine. Congrats on gallery bernd... This is one fine logo!

you know here in Germany we have a "poor" ID culture IMO ... still Bauhaus ... a square, a triangle and a circle ... that's all ... there are some great designers (Alex W.) ... but the clients ... OMG ... would be so nice without these guys .... watch this ... http://www.logomarket.de/ ... that's what ordinary clients want ... and ... why most of the poetic work is rejected
