dont take this the wrong way, im just throwing it out there, when i first saw the mark, i thought boyscouts right away. That may not be a bad thing though, boyscouts give the feeling of exploration, uncharted seas, blah blah, so maybe it works very well.

firebrand, what I love about this logo is that I actually feel something when I look at it. I love boats and I love great design. I have an emotional connection to it and I think design becomes art when it moves the viewer to actually feel something. I love it.
