This was a logo that was not selected to be used for a charter school, but was the best design imo. The one they selcected was generic and tacky looking, like most school district logos. The slogan to be used with this was the ever popular cliche, "expanding horizons"

Beautiful - sorry to hear it wasn't selected. Most schools do play it a little too safe when choosing identities...

@Jeff
hey bud... could you explain "safe" to me please :)

nido -

safe = very conservative, almost corporate looking, possibly boring to those with creative sensibilities...

Thanks guys, glad you like it, I was pretty deflated when they chose the other logo, it really shot a lot of inspiration from me on this project, has been harder to work on since.

Jeff - I'm flattered to receive that praise from you, you are one of my favorite logo designers as well as infuences. I have your book on the career guide and highly respect your work and all you have contributed to the field.

Reading your posts and articles from GDF and CL have been very empowering for me to help make the jump from amatuer to professional designer, so, where all credits are due, you had a part in this logo too, glad you liked it.
