Hrm. The idea could be much better executed I think. The hand is a little too clunky right now. I get it's a glove, but I think it's the thumb and the pinky that look just a little too weird. I'd also extend the wrist just slightly. As for the water ripples, I'd lessen the ripple "frequency" and thicken them up. I'd also use negative space to cut through the hand so it would give the illusion that there is some depth to the ripple.

I would rather see a green finger print... or hand appearing within the print of a finger tip.

When scaling it down all those fine details of the spiral will be hard to see.
