http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_alphabet#Main_alphabet Take a look at the last letter in greek alphabet. It is omega. "Omega watches" just used the letter :) Thanks for pointing it out though.

thank you Kevin :) To be honest, I never really liked the Omega watches logo: relation icon-type (size and thickness), the icon is too simple, seems static like you said... Very far from feeling they are trying to convey IMO.

watches and underground clubs are different animals, but beyond that, this one is much more engaging and the relationship between mark and type is much better. cheers!
