i like the swirl, but since it's only the first sketch i'll try and be more constructive: i hardly noticed the E. maybe if your VOVED font would be less geometrical and more in following the swirly design of E and L. plus, swirl is too thick where L should be. try making the logo as a whole. not E & L vs. VOVED! i hope it makes some sense since my english is not so good and i'm assuring you this comment is all in good faith :)

Yes. Exactly to the point, dotTOM, I think. Thank you. I agree letters are not following E, and they are not in the same story. There must be something to continue with where E points. Or, otherwise... I like that spiral, though. Something must happen there, with rhythm, altogether...
