Building on Tabitha's suggestion...how about having each bird in the process of doing something? Like...one is pecking at the ground, two birds are talking to each other, one is singing with notes coming out of its mouth, and on and on. What do you think of that? That's the first image that came to me after I read Tabitha's comment. This is a great design...I'm curious to see where you go with it next.
