i see what you mean, but the older version had a nicer visual tone, the fish was better, i think you shouldn't abstract the forms so much. the more evident eye is better though. nice work it's great to see works like this in the making =)
Yeah the amorphousness of the other makes it better the shapes that can be visually pulled from the other make it much more interesting to me. this looses that quality totally, it looks like three pieces that are over lapping each other, while the other creates all kinds of shapes in its overlapping
I see your point. But the idea is not to make all kinds of different shapes with overlaping forms. The idea is to to create an abstract (ink blot like) composition by connecting three forms.
Here, the forms are more consistent and clear, you can more easily distinguish the symbols.
The other one, which is in the gallery - it creates some strange, and a little bit complicated and uncontrolled forms while overlaping.
Anyway its very interesting and useful to hear, that you like those forms. Thanks for your opinion.
Well i would argue that the other one more clearly represents visually '3 symbols - embryo, animal, fish' when i see that one i get it, and its up to my minds eye to pick out the 3 symbols; with this one seems like you are trying to 'control' the visual outcome more and it doesn't work to me, because its harder to 'see' the 3 separate symbols.
The eye in the middle draws to much attention from the abstractness. The fish is relatively easy to discern but the other symbols you describe are not there
